Gierl, Louis F. (25 Feb. 1881 - 14 Oct. 1958)

Louis F. Gierl died at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 4:30 P.M. at the age of 77 years, complications being the cause of his death. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9:30 in St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. John B. Pinion officiating, and internment will be made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Mr. Gierl was born in Colby, Wisconsin on February 25, 1881, and received his education here. After he grew to manhood, he operated the Welcome Cheese Factory for several years after which he engaged in farming. He never was married.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Seabury of Grand Rapids, Mich., Mrs. Mary Diedrich of Milwaukee, Mrs. Anna Dhein of Clintonville; and one brother, George Gierl of Colby, Wis. Seven brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

The deceased was well known for his industrious and thrifty disposition, honest in all his dealings, and, being of a congenial and kindly disposition, was well-liked by all who knew him.
