Mr. and Mrs. Allen E. Schraufnagel spent the week-end in Green Bay.
Mr. and Mrs. William Baker of Stetsonville visited with Mrs. Fred Rienow Sunday.
Paul Dins attended a grain and feed convention in Madison last Thursday and Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Habeck of Oshkosh spent the week-end with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Sedlack.
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Edward Smazel of Colby, Route 2, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital October 14th.
Mr. and Mrs. Everett Mossing and two sons of West Bend spent the week-end with the former’s mother, Mrs. Claudia Mossing.
Mr. and Mrs. John J. Kubs of Marshfield, formerly of Colby, Wisconsin were guests last Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sazama.
Robert Hansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Hansen, has enlisted in the U.S. Navy and will take his recruit training at Great Lakes.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Firnstahl and daughter have moved to Colby from St. Paul, Minn., and are occupying an apartment above the IGA store.
Mrs. Albert Wellnitz, Mrs. G. C. Lien of Janesville and Mrs. George Schwantes of Spencer visited with Mrs. Fred Rienow and at the J. E. Tesmer home recently.
Mrs. Adolph Dums was dismissed from the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital where she underwent surgery. She will be obliged to return in two weeks for additional surgery.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schwantes and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Wiedenhoeft spent a few days last week at the Clarence Wiedenhoeft resort at Jackson Lake, Cable.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Scidmore and daughter have returned to Colby and will make their home here. Mr. Scidmore received his discharge from the U.S. Navy. He had been stationed on the east coast while he was in the navy.
Mrs. Edna Dins, son, Allen, and daughter, Rita, spent the week-end in Two Rivers and Sheboygan Falls with relatives. Mrs. Francis Sebold of Sheboygan Falls returned to Colby with them and will be a guest at the Dins home for two weeks.
