Mrs. Robert Spiegel will entertain the Washburn Homemakers club
Wednesday, December 9, with dinner served at noon. This will be a Christmas
Party and secret pals will be revealed with the exchange of gifts. Mrs. Darrel
Hohenstein and Mrs. Robert Spiegel will have charge of the entertainment.
Tom Mortenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mortenson, got a buck the first
day of hunting season instead of his father as reported last week.
Mark
Cassum, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Cassum, also got a buck the first day of
hunting season.
Mrs. Harley Cassum entertained around 18 deer hunters
during the season.
Mr and Mrs. Wallace Krause and daughter, Cheryl, of
Menomonee Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Dopp and daughters, Linda, Judeen and
Dixie, and Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Stetler of Marshfield, Mrs. Irving Stevens, Mrs.
Floyd Wall, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Vincent and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Urban,
Brenda and Debbie, and David Vine were guests Thanksgiving Day of Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Vincent and daughter.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Trachte and family of
Madison spent from Wednesday until Sunday with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Trachte, and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Grimm of Stratford. The Arnold Trachte family,
Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Abrahamson of Fairchild, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Trachte and Mr.
and Mrs. Romaine (Chuck) Boyer and son were Thanksgiving Day guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Wayne Kurth and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron (Buck) Wren and family of
West Bend spent Thanksgiving Day and the weekend with their parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Mortenson and family and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Wren in Neillsville. Other
guests Thanksgiving Day at the Mortenson home were Mr. and Mrs. Everett
Juntunen, John Juntunen, Mr. and Mrs. Ragner Mortenson and Mrs. Art Odell.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kapfer were Thanksgiving dinner guests of his
brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Timmler, near Loyal. Other guests
there were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Shortess and family of Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Shortess of near Loyal.
Mr. and Mrs. George White and family of
Marshfield were guests Thanksgiving Day of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Reinart.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Stewart, Jovey, Jana and Jeff, and Mrs. Frank Stewart of
Verona, spent Thanksgiving Day and Friday with Mrs. Don Stewart’s parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Ralph Short.
Mrs. Bill Kopps of Cambridge, Mrs. Roger Northup of
Chicago and their mother, Mrs. Robert Volz of Memorial Home, called at the Mrs.
Art Odell home Saturday afternoon.
Ervin Taylor and daughters, and Mrs.
Nettie Smock, Black River Falls, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Havlicek and family
were Thanksgiving Day guests at the Charles Havlicek, Sr. home.
Mr. and
Mrs. Ernest Kuhn attended a meeting in Eau Claire Tuesday night.
Mrs.
Clarence Reinart attended an A.S.C. meeting in Madison from Monday until
Thursday. She accompanied a lady from the Taylor County A.S.C. office.
Mrs. Chris Feutz and son, Donnie, were guests Thanksgiving Day of her son and
daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Feutz, in Wisconsin Rapids.
Mrs.
DeWayne Mashin and son, Ronnie, of Tomah, Mr. and Mrs. William Poler of Memorial
Home, and Mrs. Ernest Backhaus were Thanksgiving dinner and supper trusts at the
Oliver Williams home and also celebrated Mrs. Poler’s 79th birthday.
Burl Galbreath of Beloit called at the home of Mrs. Art Odell last Thursday
evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Spiegel entertained her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Godfrey Laufenberg and family of Alma Center on Thanksgiving Day.
Jean
and Lorraine Lincoln of Minneapolis spent Thanksgiving Day and the weekend with
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lincoln. Warren and Francis Lincoln were
Thanksgiving guests at the Lincoln home also.
Mr and Mrs. Arthur Lutz and
Victor Lutz of Milwaukee spent Thanksgiving Day and the weekend with their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andreas Lutz.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Marty called
Friday at the Mrs. Art Odell home. Mrs. Marty is the former Mildred Galbreath.
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Harris and family, Tom Harris and their mother, Mrs. Joyce
Harris, Hastings, Minn., visited Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Williams, Mr. and Mrs.
William Poler and Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Poler in Granton Friday and Saturday.

dinner guests at the Jack Urban home.
Mrs. Bruce Spiegel was a Saturday
afternoon visitor at the John Reinart home in honor of Mrs. Reinart’s birthday.
