Wedding vows were exchanged between Miss
Jean Lindgren, Route 3, Loyal, and Mr. James Edwin Koski, Johnson Creek. Parents
of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Holgar Lindgren, route 3, Loyal and Mr. and Mrs.
Arvo Koski, route 1, Loyal.
The Paul Doering, Ladtsmith, performed the
ceremony Saturday, July 30, at the Loyal Methodist Church, Loyal.
Mrs.
Byron Zepplin played appropriate organ music for the occasion.
Bouquets
of white gladioli and blue daisies adorned the altar. Blue and white bows marked
the pews.
The bride given in marriage by her father wore a white
floor-length bridal gown of nylon sheer over taffeta with alencon lace appliqués
accenting the bateau neckline. A fitted midriff topped the bell-shaped skirt
fashioned by tiny pleats at the waistline. Alencon lace appliqués were seen near
the hemline and also on the double watteau train with bow trim which was
attached at the waistline. The bouffant illusion veil was secured to an organza
cabbage rose accented with lace appliqués and pearl trim/ Daisies surrounded the
brides bouquet of red roses.
The bride chose Miss Yvonne Anderson,
Marshfield, as her maid of honor; and Miss Marianne Herr, Greenwood and Miss
Donna Koski, Loyal, as bridesmaids.
The aides donned powder blue
floor-length formals of crepe chiara with bateau necklines. Self fabric petals
and green velvet leaves accented the empire waistlines of the sheath skirts, the
back being complimented by watteau panels with bow trim. They wore matching
circular rippled hairbraid headpieces with aurora borealis crystal trim and pouf
veils. They carried crescent bouquets of white daisies.
Serving the groom
as best man was Bob Pasanen, Exland, Douglas and Richard Lindgren, Loyal, were
groomsmen.
David Elstrom and John Rossi were the ushers.
A
reception at the bride’s parental home was held following the ceremony. A supper
was serves at the Star Lodge Motel.
The bride is a July 17 graduate of
St. Joseph;s School of Nursing, Marshfield. The groom is 1966 graduate of River
Falls State University, River Falls and will be a vocational Agriculture and
Industrial Arts Instructor at Johnson Creek Public Schools.
After a
wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and Canada, Mr. and Mrs. James Koski will
make their home in Johnson Creek.
