Hayes, Millie (18 Jan 1872-28 Aug 1966)

Mrs. Millie Hayes, 94, formerly of Loyal passed away at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, at the Memorial Home, Neillsville. Death was caused by old age complications.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, at the Myre Funeral Home, Loyal. Burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery. The Rev. A. M. Moldenhauer officiated at the service.

The former Millie Gretzner was born January 18, 1872 in Germany. At the age of 12 ahe came to the United States with her parents and settled in West Bloomfield, Wisconsin. After a few years they moved to a farm in the town of Loyal.

She was married to John Hayes in Duluth, Minnesota.

She moved to Owen about ten years ago and with the exception of the past year she made her home at the Memorial Home, Neillsville.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Thomas Kelly, Milwaukee and several nieces and nephews in the area.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
