Harry, Lewis W. (2 July 1892 - 28 Nov. 1958)
Lewis W. Harry of Marshfield died Friday evening at the Marshfield Clinic of a heart ailment at the age of 66 years. Funeral services were held Monday morning in St. John’s Catholic church, in Marshfield, Rt. Msgr. A. N. Schuh officiating, and burial was made in the Hillside cemetery.
Mr. Harry was born on July 2, 1892, at Unity, Wis. He received his education in the Colby schools and at Glove Business College in St. Paul, Minn. He worked in St. Paul for about two years before moving to Marshfield where he was employed at the Roddis Plywood Corporation office for five years. Later he was employed by the Chicago and North Western Railroad for 10 years and then at the Consumers Store in Marshfield as bookkeeper until his retirement on April 1, 1958. He was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was married to Dorothy Harding on December 9, 1914, in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, Wis.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Urban (Lois) Kohl and Mrs. Ray (Valerie) Adler, both of Marshfield; two sons, William Harry of Superior and John Harry of La Crosse; 17 grand children; one brother, William Harry of Owen. Three brothers and seven sisters preceded him in death.
