Boh, Bernice Helen (7 August 1912 - 22 November 2008)
Bernice Boh, 96, of Neillsville died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at the Memorial Health and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville.
Bernice Helen Boh was born Aug. 7, 1912, in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Dyha) Kotcon. When she was young, her family moved to Willard, where she attended school. As a young woman, she worked in Eau Claire and Chicago.
She was united in marriage Oct. 7, 1939 to Joseph Boh at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. After their marriage, they farmed in the Greenwood area and then moved to the Town of York in 1944 and farmed. They retired in the Town of York.
Bernice is survived by one daughter, Bernadine (Leroy) Lezotte, and one son, Franklin (Janet) Boh, both of Neillsville; six granddaughters and one grandson; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Felix (Roselyn) Kotcon of Neillsville; one sister, Frances Copack of Lemont, IL; and a sister-in-law, Betty Perko of Neillsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1999, three sisters and three brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Bernice was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville with Fr. Woodrow H. Pace as Celebrant. Interment was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Casketbearers were Mike Anderson, Tom Anding, Eric Lawton, Mark Lezotte, Dave Seif, Troy Tiedens and Jim Zuck.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Memorial Health and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville, also, Dr. Cruz and Dr. Sheikh for their care and understanding.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for designation at a later date.
The Gesche Funeral Home assisted Bernice’s family with funeral arrangements.
