Bollman, Joan I. (24 September 1933 - 22 November 2008)

Joan I. Bollman, 75, of the Town of Longwood died at 4 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield after a short illness.

Joan I. Price was born Sept. 24, 1933, an only child to Alfred and Gertrude (Lockhart) Price, at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL. After high school graduation, she married her childhood sweetheart, Roy Bollman, only child of Roy and Dorothy (Lampley) Bollman, Feb. 7, 1950, in Chicago, IL. Joan and Roy made their home in the Chicago-land area. Joan was employed by Crown, Cork and Seal Company as a quality control inspector and also sold real estate. In 1974, they relocated to the Willard area. At that time Joan was employed by Skelgas in Thorp. In 1981 she was hired by Farmers and Merchants Bank in Greenwood. She retired in October of 1995. In 1993, Joan and her family owned and operated Greenwood Auto Sales in Greenwood until May of 2004.

Joan enjoyed working for Farmers and Merchants Bank. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, bird watching and having lunch with her friends.

She is survived by three daughters, Debra (Ray) Tomasiewicz of Owen, Jacalyn La Plant of Green Bay and Susan (Dave) Wilke of Watertown; five grandchildren, Joseph Graham of Park Falls, Ryan Tomasiewicz of Champagne, IL, Steven Tucker of Watertown, Lynda (Patrick) Gruling of Chicago and John Gasca of Chicago; and one great-grandchild, Andrew Tucker.

Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Roy, Jan. 29, 2003, and her parents, Alfred Price and Gertrude (Merle) Cotts.

There will be no services at this time.
