Meyers, Jacqueline (Marriage - 30 Dec. 1935)
A beautiful appointed home wedding was solemnized Dec. 30th when Miss Jacqueline Meyers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don C. Meyers of 1229 South Maple Street, became the bride of Robert La Gore of Hollywood. The marriage rites were read at 7:30 o’clock by Dr. Edward Campbell, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, at the bride’s home. About sixteen intimate friends and relatives were bidden to the ceremony.
The rooms were attractive with yellow chrysanthemums and bronze snapdragons, and the couple took their vows standing beneath a large white wedding bell which was suspended from a flower and fern arch.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was lovely in a peacock blue rough crepe frock which enhanced her blonde beauty. She wore a corsage of Marposa lilies and lilies of the valley.
Miss Mildred Oesau of Hollywood, assisted as maid of honor. Lee La Gore served his brother as best man.
An informal reception was held following the rites.
The couple will live at 1320 North Formosa, St., in Hollywood for the next two weeks and then the bride will leave on a tour around the world with a girl’s orchestra.
