Olszewski, Henry (5 NOV 1888 - 26 JAN 1948)
Henry Olszewski, 59, for forty-eight years a resident of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), died suddenly Jan. 26, 1948, of heart failure. He was born in Poland Nov. 5, 1888 and came to America in 1910, coming to Thorp in that year. He was employed at the R. H. Tolford farm for twenty-six years, where he was highly regarded for sterling character and faithful, untiring service. At the time of his death he was employed at the Smigaj Garage and the Thorp Bowling Alley.
His immediate family, none of whom came to this country, preceded him in death, but he will be long remembered by his many friends and particularly by every member of the Tolford family, even the second generation.
Rev. Irish conducted the simple services at the Thorp Funeral Home at 2:00, Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 28th. Mrs. Loran Bivans sang two hymns, and burial followed at the East Thorp Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Frank Tolford, Francis Conway, Ed Harycki, Tom Polnaszek, S. J. Glamkowski and Malen Malinowski.
