Bogumill, Mary (10 FEB 1948)

Miss Mary Bogumill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bogumill of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Robert Christenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Christenson of Madison, in a ceremony performed by Father Mershberger, at a nine o’clock nuptial mass at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at Madison on Tuesday morning, Feb. 10th, 1948.

The bride was attired in a short sleeved ivory chiffon velvet gown fashioned with a peplum in front and bustle effect in back. Her skirt was of instep length and her long gloves were of the same material as the town. She wore a short veil which fell from a coronet of velvet interlaced with pearls.

The couple was attended by John Gallagher and Donna Christenson, sister of the groom of Madison, she was dressed in yellow taffeta and carried a bouquet of pink and yellow roses. The groom wore a suit of light gabardine and his attendant tan gabardine. Mrs. Bogumill, mother of the bride, was dressed in blue with black accessories and the groom’s mother in a tan suit with brown accessories. Both wore corsages of carnations.

A reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents at 414 Maple Ave., Madison, with about fifty guests present.

On their wedding trip the couple visited with relatives and friends in Thorp. They will make their future home in Madison.

Out of town guests at the wedding were: Mrs. Jos. Bogumill and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bogumill of Thorp; Mrs. Stanley Maniki of Hartland, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Eberle of Mauston.
