Niehoff, Henry (3 Aug. 1851 - 27 June 1936)

Funeral services were conducted at the Helke funeral home at Wausau Monday at 9:30 a.m. for Henry Niehoff, 84, who died at a Wausau hospital Saturday morning after a brief illness.

The Rev. E.H. Bertermann officiated and interment was made in Rex cemetery at Iron Ridge.

Mr. Niehoff was born in Germany on Aug. 3, 1851, and came to the United States when he was 14 years old. On Feb. 17, 1876, he was married at Hustingford to Miss Maria Melcher, who died in 1907. For the past six years he has been a resident on a farm near here.

Surviving are nine children, Mrs. O.C. Lemke and Felix Niehoff, Wausau; Mrs. Ralph Skillin, Oak Park, Ill.; Mrs. G.C. Johnson, Evansville, Ind., Mrs. R.E. Perry, Oshkosh; Paul G. Niehoff, Beverly Hills, Calif.; Mrs. Carl Hoff, Portland, Ore.; and Conrad E. Niehoff and Miss Viola Niehoff of Chicago; two brothers, Otto Niehoff, Horicon and Bernhardt Niehoff, of Beaver Dam; and four grandchildren.
