Socha, Joseph J. (1935? - 19 Dec. 2008)

Joseph J. Socha, 73, formerly of Edgar, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at Continental Manor, Abbotsford, Wis.

Joe served in the U.S. Army. He farmed until the time of his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth (Daniels) Socha; seven children, Barb (Al) Wirkus, Mike (Donna) Socha, Joan (Rick) Steele, Pat (Michelle) Socha, Bob (Julie) Socha, Bonnie (Matt) Hinze and Suzy (Mark) Schalow; 13 grandchildren; one brother, Larry (Jen) Socha; and seven sisters, Leona (Len) Westphal, Regina (Ray) Suchorski, Elmira Greiner, Joan (Jim) Seagram, Mary Ann Guilonard, Lorriane (Bill) Flasch and Rose Ann Johnson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens, where there will be a rosary service at 5 p.m.

Visitation will be again from 9:30 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
