Reineke, Emil K. #2 (27 APR 1877 - 10 JUN 1948)

Emil Karl Reineke, a resident of Butler community (Clark Co., Wis.), since 1920, was born April 27, 1877, at Reedsburg, Sauk Co., Wis., and passed away on June 10th, 1948 at the age of 71 years, 1 month and 14 days at the Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, where he had been a patient since April 5th.

On Dec. 16, 1903, Emil Reineke was united in marriage to Lizzie Thoenes in Wonewoc, where they made their home for three years. To this union 12 children were born. They are, Harold, Arthur, Alvin, Mildred (Mrs. Arthur Morrison) and Henrietta (Mrs. Chester Danielewicz) of Thorp, Lester of Augusta, Roy of the U. S. Army, Tokyo, Japan, Luverne of Baltimore, Maryland, Ethel (Mrs. Arthur Baures) of Fairchild, Laura (Mrs. Duane Bowen) of Eau Claire and Dorothy (Mrs. Jack Hutson) of Portland, Oregon. Their first child died in infancy.

Besides the children, Mr. Reineke is survived by his wife, 30 grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends, as he was a kind and loving husband and father, always of cheerful disposition and ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Funeral service were held at the Thorp Funeral Home on Saturday, June 12th at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. James Irish of Thorp, with interment in the Butler Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Jack Conklin, Curtis Mayenschien, John Bizjak, Ray Collins, Wallace Kuehl and Emil Maslanka.
