Chase Lyman L. (10 July 1894 - 21 December 1970)

Funeral services for Lyman L. Chase, 76, a resident of Memorial Home who died Monday, December 21, were to be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Norbert King of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at Loyal was to officiate, with burial to be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mr. Chase was born July 10, 1894, in Waushara County to Joe and Dora (Nelson) Chase. He received his education there and came to Clark County with his parents, who settled on a farm in the Pleasant Ridge area. Mr. Chase attended auto mechanics school in Kansas City, returning again to the Neillsville locality where he farmed until his retirement. His marriage to the former Daphine Blackman took place December 15, 1925, in Neillsville.

Besides his wife, Mr. Chase is survived by a daughter, Marjorie, Mrs. Henry Schmidt of Loyal, and by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Survivors also include the following; four sisters, Ina Chase, Pomona Valley, Calif., Fannie Chase, Mrs. Muriel Kutchera, and Mrs. Milo (Leona) Mabie, all of Neillsville; and five brothers, Roy Chase, Neillsville, Arthur Chase, Oshkosh, Joe Chase, Granton, Elmer Chase, Garrison, Mont., and Clarence Chase, Chicago, Ill.
