Syth, Ione (9 May 1921 - December 1970)

Funeral services for Mrs. Donald Syth, 49, were held December 14, at 11 a.m. from the Lake Street United Methodist Church at Eau Claire with the Rev. Thomas R. Jarrill officiating. Graveside rites followed at 3 p.m. at the Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Syth died at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire following a lengthy illness.

The former Ione Dahnert was born May 9, 1921, at Neillsville, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dahnert. She graduated from Neillsville high School in 1939, and was married to Donald Syth on September 4, 1942, at Neillsville. The Syth’s had made their home in Eau Claire for the past 23 years.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Syth is survived by a son, Ardell, at home and by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dahnert of Neillsville. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Donald Feuerhelm, Hokah, Minn., and Mrs. John Reinart, Rt. 1 Neillsville.

The family has announced the establishment of a memorial to assist the American Cancer Society in research. Contributions may be sent to Mrs. E. C. Haslow at Chili.
