Thieme, Wilhelmina (10 Oct. 1851 - 23 Jan. 1937)
Last rites for Mrs. Wilhelmina Thieme, 85, who died of influenza and pneumonia at the home of her son, Fred Thieme, at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, were conducted by the Rev. M. C. Goetsch at St. Paul’s Lutheran church Wednesday at 2 p.m. Burial took place at Pine Hill cemetery.
Wilhelmina Schuchert was born in Germany on Oct. 10, 1851, and was married to William H. Thieme in Germany on May 20, 1869. They came to the United States in 1891 and settled in the town of Hoard.
About 25 years ago they moved to Dorchester, where they lived for about 10 years before moving to Abbotsford, Wis. Mrs. Thieme went to live with her son and his family last May. Mr. Thieme died in 1922.
Mrs. Thieme was a member of the Abbotsford Lutheran church and the Ladies’ Aid Society.
She is survived by five sons, Fred and Ernest, Curtiss; Otto, Whittlesey; Morris, Phillips; Alfred, Nashville, Kans.; and 29 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A son and a daughter preceded her in death.
Six grandsons, Alvin, Harry, Arthur, Raymond and Franklin Thieme were pallbearers.
