At 4 o’clock Saturday afternoon Jan.15, Miss Lillian Ruth Boe, elder daughter of Henry Boe, exchanged wedding vows with Lt. Lennert M. Abrahamson of Tigerton, in a candlelight ceremony performed in the Methodist church, the Rev. Myron E. Taylor, pastor of the church, officiating. The only decoration was a background of evergreens.

N. E. Knutzer, professor of English at Central State Teacher college in Stevens Point, was pianist and accompanied Misses Lavonne Smith and Gladys Fenner while they sang "Because."

To the strains of Wagner’s "Lohengrin," the maid of honor preceded the bride, who was accompanied by her father, to the altar, where they were met by the groom and his best man.

The bride wore a white wool street length dress, white gloves and black accessories, and an orchid corsage. "For something old" she wore a small gold wreath pin that had belonged to her mother.

The maid of honor, Miss Beverly Boe of Minneapolis, sister of the bride, wore a yellow wool street length dress, black accessories and a gardenia corsage.

The best man, H. A. Johnson, of Tigerton, is a cousin of the groom.

The bride’s father gave her in marriage.

The ushers were Bernard Allberg, Dorothy Jean Kauffman and Marie Anderegg.

A mid-day dinner was served at the Boe home to the out of town guests, about 30 in number, before the wedding.

Following the ceremony, a reception for 60 guest was also held at the home of the bride’s father, Misses Clareen Hammerstrom and Madelyn Lee serving.

At the reception Mr. Knutzen accompanied Miss Smith and Miss Fenner while they sang "Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life,"

Lieutenant and Mrs. Abrahamson left for a short wedding trip to Chicago. They will be at home to their friends in Coffeyville, Kan., Feb. 1.

Lieutenant Abrahamson, now a pilot in the United Stats air forces stationed at Coffeyville, where he is an instructor in the basic flying school, was graduated from the Tigerton high school and attended Central State Teachers college at Stevens Point. His bride was graduated from the Loyal high school and received her bachelor of science degree from Central State Teachers college. She is affiliated with Omega Mu Chi, Alpha Psi Omega and Sigma Tau Delta societies, and taught in the Barren high school.

Guests from away were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Abrahamson, Sylvia Abrahamson, Mrs. Oscar Holm, Mrs. Norman Holm, Miss Hildegarde Holm and Miss Marian Alberg of Tigerton, Miss Lydia Abrahamson of Chicago, Mrs. Ray Kauffman and son, Jerry, of Madison, Mrs. George Castner, Miss Jeanette Castner, Miss Valda Castner, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Castner and children and Mrs. Byron Deets of Marshfield, Miss Jeanette Boe of Dorchester, Miss Madelyn Lee of Medford, Miss Clareen Hammerstrom of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Jens Jeshdahl of Antigo, Miss Virginia Colby of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Johnson, Miss Jeanette Fuley and Miss Dottie Zollner of Barron, and N. E. Knutzsen, Bernard Allberg and Miss Hansen of Stevens Point.
