Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fehrman and family of Detroit, Mich., visited at the Ed Zarada home on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Drace of Cincinnati, Ohio are visiting at the A. Mauel home.
Antoinette Simkus spent a few days with Janet and Katie Mikolainis.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Mauel and Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Drace spent Sunday evening at the A.M. Jankowski home at Chippewa Falls.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard McNaughton of Durand, called at the Floyd Cook home on Friday enroute to their home, after attending the State Fair at Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
A seven pound nine ounce baby was born to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Boardman on Friday, Aug. 13 at the Lutheran Hospital at La Crosse.
Mrs. Louis Ciolkosz and son Erwin, and daughters Delores and Bernadette, Mr. and Mrs. Al Janick and daughter JoAnn were Eau Claire and Chippewa shoppers Wednesday.
A miscellaneous shower was held in honor of Elaine Larson at her home on Wednesday evening.
Don Jacque, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jacque, and Sylvester Hedler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Hedler, left Monday for Fort Riley, Kansas, where they will start on a one year enlistment in the army.
Oscar Peterson of Manitowoc and Mr. and Mrs. Archie Uelmen and children of Shawano, Wis., visited several days last week at the W. A. Wilhelm home.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Baldeschwiler entertained relatives and neighbors at a card game at their home Sunday evening. A good lunch was served.
A baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Hedler of Colby, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital on Monday, Aug. 23rd. He tipped the scales at 7 pounds, 3 ounces.
