Curtiss, Wis. - Oct. 8, 1959
The Ladies’ Aid of St. Paul’s Lutheran church will meet at the Withee parsonage Wednesday, Oct. 14, with Mrs. Theo. Predochi as hostess.
The Ladies’ Aid of the Ev. Lutheran church will meet Thursday, Oct. 15 at the parish hall, Mrs. Frank Matthias and Mrs. Anna C. Peterson hostesses.
Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson attended the world series at Chicago Thursday and Friday. They spent the week-end at La Crosse with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Wardwell.
Week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Witte were his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Witte, of New York Hills, Minn.
Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Herrick were his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Herrick, of Montello and Mrs. Nathale Frese and sons of Thorp.
Mrs. Frank Matthias visited friends at Chippewa Falls the latter part of the week.
Mrs. Paul Luedtke of Marathon City spent the week-end with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Augustine, and daughters.
Mrs. Gusta Pohl of St. Paul is a guest of Mrs. Anne Tonn and other friends here this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Klocke held open house Saturday, Oct. 3, in observance of their silver wedding anniversary. About 200 relatives and friends were served supper beginning at 7:00 o’clock P.M. Among those attending from away were their daughter, Mrs. Audrey Remus of Milwaukee, their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Klocke of Dorchester, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Niebacher and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Niebacher of Withee, Mr. and Mrs. Art Peissig and daughters of Chippewa Falls and Mr. and Mrs. Karl Richter of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mr. and Mrs. Klocke received many gifts, cards and well wishes.
