Moede, Lucy (Marriage - 31 Oct. 1959)

Miss Lucy Moede, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Moede of Unity, Route 1, and Robert M. Johnston, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Johnston of Cornell, were united in marriage in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby Saturday morning, Rev. John B. Pinion officiating at the wedding ceremony and 9:30 mass. Mr. Moede gave his daughter in marriage.

Miss Patty Moede of Unity attended the bride as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Sue Johnston of Cornell and Mrs. Robert L. Johnston of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mary Berger of Spencer was flower girl.

The groom was attended by Peter Johnston of Cornell as best man and James and John Moede of Unity, Route 1, and Robert L. Johnston of Milwaukee as groomsmen. Junior Krause of Shawano was ring bearer. Marshall Moede of Unity and Charles Burns of Milwaukee were ushers.

A wedding breakfast was served in the church gymnasium and the reception was held in the Unity Hall at Unity, Wis. The dance was at the Dorchester Hall in Dorchester, Wis.

Mrs. Johnston attended schools in Shawano and graduated from the Colby High School. Her husband is a graduate of Cornell High School and is now attending vocational school in Milwaukee where he is also employed in the A & P store. His wife is employed as a secretary at the Louis Allis Co., in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Their wedding trip will take them to Hamilton, Ohio, and through Tennessee. They will live at 3052 N. Humboldt Ave., in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
