The Happy Hustlers Homemakers belated
Christmas party was held December 30 at the Hugh Severson home with Miss Louise
Keiner as hostess. Following a 6:30 dinner games were played and prizes awarded.
White elephant gifts were exchanged. The January meeting will be held at the
home of Mrs. John Lindner, date to be announced later.
Mr. and Mrs.
Ernest Vollrath and grandchildren, Randy and Janeen Vollrath, and Judy Hill
returned Thursday after a two-week trip to Florida. They visited Col. and Mrs.
Bernard Vollrath at Clearwater and spent some time with former Greenwood
residents, Mr. and Mrs. William Dallman, at Brandon. The young people also
visited the Cecil Lombard family at Golden Gate and the Florida Everglades.
David Schneider returned to Anchorage, Alaska Wednesday after spending since
December 22 with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schneider.
Mrs. Robert
Stewart was admitted New Year’s Eve to Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Tipton returned to Jefferson Saturday after spending a week
with Mrs. Mary Klune.
Mr. and Mrs. Delmain Toburen and family and Mr. and
Mrs. Kermit Bell of Christie were New Year’s Day guests at the Erwin Toburen
home.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Corey and family of Sioux Falls, S. D., spent
from Saturday until Tuesday with his mother, Mrs. Lee Corey, and with his
brother, Gary, and family in Neillsville.
Mr and Mrs. Lee Jolivette
planned to leave Tuesday for Safford, Ariz., where they will spend the winter.
They expect to make short stops a Alpine, Tex., and Deming, N. M., on the way.
Dinner guests Friday at the Howard Olsen home were Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Braun, Todd, Tammy and Danny, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Olson, Jeff and Jodie, Miss Ivy
Moore, Mrs. Roy Rossman, Mrs. Blanc he Schmidt of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer
Luedtke and son, Bob and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Hurteenie of Racine.
Mrs.
George Poppe, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hendrickson and Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hendrickson
spent the Christmas holiday at the Leroy Wadzinski home in Ravenna, Nebr. They
also attended the wedding of Mrs. Poppe’s grandson, Terry Wadzinski, to Peggy
Maskers at Grand Island, Nebr., December 26.
Mr. and Mrs. William
Kavanaugh and son James, returned Saturday from Tucson, Ariz., where James has
enrolled at the University. He will return there January 20 to resume his
studies.
Mr. and Mrs. William Rogers and family of Red Granite spent
Saturday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Vollrath.
New Year’s Eve
supper guests at the Howard Olsen home were Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie, Mr. and Mrs.
Godfrey Dyre and Jane, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Olson and grandson, Travis Olson, Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Rossow, Mr. and Mrs. Danny Rossow, and Mr and Mrs. Jack Weber
and children, Dena, Darla and Darren, of Chicago.
Patti Thompson
returned Sunday to Portage after spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Richard Thompson.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Vollrath have returned to Green
Bay after spending several days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vollrath.
Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Brux and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kowieski of Auburndale were
New Year’s Eve dinner guests at the Joe Gregorich home.

B. Fahim and daughter, Melanie, returned to Grosse Point Park, Mich., Saturday
after spending a week with her mother, Mrs. Irvin Carl, and her brother, Robert
Carl and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Warner left Saturday to spend several
weeks with their son-in-law and daughter, Maj. And Mrs. Tom Larson and family at
Tyndall AFB, Fla.
Mr and Mrs. Einar Jackson and son, Duane, were
Christmas Day guests at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs.
William Wickham and family, in Weber and daughter, Lisa of West Allis.
Mrs. Henry Keiner spent several days with relatives in Spencer and Marshfield
returning here Sunday evening.
Guests Christmas Day at the Norbert Friske
home were Mrs. Adelbert Wells, Mr. and Mrs. Burt Wells and family of Marshfield
and daughter, Faye of Whitehall.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Speich of Eau Claire
were Christmas Day guests at the home of his mother, Mrs. Jake Speich.

Christmas Day guest at the Don Cox home was their nephew, William Cook of
Chicago.
Duane Jackson, who attends Eau Claire University, spent the
holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Einar Jackson.
Dr. and Mrs. Gary
Rohde and sons, Douglas and Dean, of River Falls spent the weekend with their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Rohde.
