Wedding vows were exchanged by Miss Kathleen Marie Neubecker, daughter of Mrs. Elsie Neubecker, Neillsville, and the late Frank Neubecker, and Gordon O. Ritter Jr., Wausau, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Ritter Sr., Chili.

The Rev. N. W. Lindloff, officiated at the ceremony which took place Saturday, October 1 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neillsville, with Herbert Schoenherr Sr. giving his niece in marriage.

Victor Lehmann was the organist and a cousin of the bride, Miss Beverly Schoenherr, the soloist sang “O Perfect Love” and “O That the Lord Would Guide My Ways.”

Two altar vases of white chrysanthemums and gladioli decorated the altar.

The bride was seen in a floor-length A-line gown of alencon lace and peau fashioned with lace empire bodice, bateau neckline and a large detachable watteau train edged in lace falling from the back neckline.

Her bouffant veil billowed from a butterfly headpiece of alencon lace and seed pearls, and carried a bouquet of red roses and white stephanotis entwined with green ivy.

The maid of honor was Miss Grace Neubecker, Neillsville, and Miss Susan Wedekind, Neillsville and Miss Pamela Ritter, Chili, the bridesmaids.

The aides donned floor-length formals with bateau necklines on Bodices of lace over taffeta, empire waistlines accenting the sheath skirts of crepe chiara complimented in back by lace watteau panels and bow trim.

They had matching twisted braid and floral cluster head pieces with pouf veils and they carried flowers of bronze fuji mums in crescent-shaped bouquets. The maid of honor’s ensemble was moss green and the others were gold.

Marie Vornholt, Neillsville. in a gold gown, carried a basket of bronze chrysanthemums.

The groom chose for his best man Eugene Sharratt, Chili; Daniel Neubecker and Mickey Kuzjak, both of Neillsville were groomsmen. Larry Sladek and Edward Schoenherr were ushers.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s mother. Supper was served at St. John’s Lutheran School for 175 guests at 4:30 p.m. and a dance at 9 p.m. at the Silver Dome Ballroom.

The bride is a 1964 graduate of Neillsville High School and worked in the Clark County treasurer’s office. Her husband, a 1966 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School, is attending North Central Technical Institute, Wausau and works for Wausau Homews, Inc. Wausau will be home of the couple.
