Eunson, Isla (6 JAN 1863 - 21 DEC 1905)

Neillsville was shocked to learn of the death of Mrs. Robert Eunson Thursday evening between six and seven o’clock, the cause of her death being due to a complication of diseases caused by typhoid fever and la grippe. She had been ill for nearly two weeks and the last reports were that she was improving.

Mrs. Eunson, born Isla Heath, was born Jan. 6th, 1863, in New York State, removing to Merrillan Junction with her parents when 16 years of age. At 18 she married Robert Eunson. Mr. and Mrs. Eunson removed to Merrill where they resided for six years. In 1897 they removed to Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), where Mr. Eunson conducted the Omaha Hotel, later entering into his present livery business. Mrs. Eunson was a devoted wife and loving mother and never a cross word blighted the brightness of their model home.

She was an esteemed member of the Beaver Queens.

She was the last surviving member of the Heath family, her father passing away but a short time ago. She was the mother of five children, three of whom, Era, Genevieve and Dale survive her. The bereaved family has the sympathy of the community in its present affliction.

The funeral was held from the Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Rev. Rohrabaugh conducting the services.

Interment took place at Merrillan where a large number from here accompanied the remains.
