Alvin W. Mott, 49,
Granton, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 3:50 a.m. Saturday, September 24
in the Neillsville Hospital.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday,
September 27, at Zion American Lutheran Church in the town of Grant with the
Rev. Evan Dieck officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery. The
Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton was I charge of funeral arrangements.
Mr. Mott was born August 9. 1917, in Waushara County, and as a small child came
to Clark County. He received his education in the Neillsville schools and was a
graduate of the Neillsville High School, class of 1936. His marriage to Irene
Garbisch took place June 1, 1946 at Granton.
After their marriage the
couple resided in Milwaukee until 1949, when they moved to Granton where Mr.
Mott was an implement dealer. He was a veteran of World War II
He is
survived by his wife, and two children, Kenneth and Barbara, at home; a brother,
Richard, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; four sisters, Mrs, Gerald (Evelyn) Kluever,
and Mrs. Walter (Irma) Zoschke, Milwaukee; Mrs. James (Alice) Barrette,
Wisconsin Rapids; and Mrs. Earl (Dorothy) Anderson, Chilton, and his mother,
Mrs. Bada Mott, Chilton.
