Ruedel, James E. (12 March 1943 - 10 January 2009)
James E. Ruedel, 65, of Granton died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, following a lingering illness.
James was born March 12, 1943, in Chicago, IL, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ruedel. He graduated from Shears High School in Chicago. He was united in marriage March 12, 1973, to the former Charlene D. Schraft. James worked at various metal fabrication shops before coming to Granton area with his wife to operate Pine Haven Farms Animal Sanctuary.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Charlene, Granton; children, Michael (Carol) Ruedel, Ottawa, IL, Lisa Ruedel, Lombard, IL, Matthew Ruedel, Belvidere, IL, Sharon Laske, Cherry Valley, IL, James Schneider, Belvidere, IL, and Lauren (Bill) Fedor, Cherry Valley, IL; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Ruedel.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. A private family interment is planned.
The Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Marshfield, is assisting the family with arrangements.
