It is astonishing to see the amount of business they are doing at P. R. Edminster’s mill. The yard is filling up fast with logs, and under the management of J. S. Edminster with Montgomery & Hurd, as sawyers, they will make the mill turn out more lumber and shingles than any previous year. The boys are running her in full blast both day and night, and are deserving of much credit and success.

Thursday forenoon last, J. D. Wicker, Jr., was quite severely injured by the falling of a tree, which he had been chopping. The limb struck him on the left shoulder and fractured the clavicle, or collar bone as it us usually termed. Hi escape from a worse injury was very narrow, as he dodged barely in time to avoid being struck on the head instead of shoulder. Under the care of Dr. Stewart, of Unity, who dressed the wound the patient is doing as well as could be expected, considering the extend of the injury, but it will be a long time before he will be able to do any work.

No credit will be given for wood brought and dumped off at this office without measurement, parties coming along sometime afterwards and claiming to have brought a certain amount. Those from whom wood is due on subscription, will please call at the office and have the same measured and credited up before unloading it. We do not want wood on any other terms.
