Brooks, Minnie E. #2 (7 JUL 1859 - 4 MAR 1907)
Monday Mrs. Irvin Brooks died at her home at Lynn (Clark Co., Wis.). She was an excellent lady, a good wife and mother and had a host of friends, won by her companionability and womanly qualities. She was born Mary Zipfel in Germany in 1859 and when 7 years of age came to America with her parents. They located in Clark County about 1875, and in 1876 Miss Zifel was married to Bert McIntyre.
Shortly after her marriage the first great sorrow came to Mrs. McIntyre in the death of her husband. In 1878 she became the wife of Ervin Brooks. To this marriage were born four children, Elsie, Mabel, Raymond and Clark. Besides the father and children, Mrs. Brooks’ father and brother and two sisters, Mrs. Shaffer of Loyal and Mrs. Schultz of Sherwood Forest, are left to mourn her demise. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from the family residence.
