Kelly, Julia (20 APR 1864 - 9 MAR 1907)
Last Saturday Mrs. Kelly, wife of John F. Kelly, died at her home in the Town of York (Clark Co., Wis.) after a severe illness with typhoid fever. Monday morning the body, accompanied by the bereaved husband, was taken to Richland County for burial. Services were held at St. Patrick’s Church.
Mrs. Kelly was born Julia Wickham in Richland Co., Wis. on April 20, 1864. In November 1891 she was united in marriage to John F. Kelly. To this union four children were born, who remain to comfort their father. Last November Mr. and Mrs. Kelly moved to Clark County, purchasing a farm in York.
Mrs. Kelly was a woman of exemplary habits, possessed of a deep religious fervor, was an excellent wife and a kind mother. During her short residence here she made many friends, who deeply regret that death was so hasty and unkind. Her brothers, James Wickham of Eau Claire, Thomas Wickham of Corpus Christie and sister, Mrs. Kitson of Eau Claire, together with Mr. Kelly’s brothers, James of Yuba, and W. N. of Hillsboro, were here to assist in the transportation of their loved one to her last resting place.
