Rein, Anna (18 Apr. 1869 - 30 Jan. 1960)

Mrs. Anna Rein, a former resident of the town of Hull, died early Saturday morning in the Superior Nursing Home in Wausau. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Lulloff Funeral Home, Rev. David Passet officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Edwin Grauman, Henry Aderhold, Rhinehart Wiersig, Arthur Schmidt, Richard Behrens and Ervin Eggebrecht.

Mrs. Rein was born in Schofield on April 18, 1869, and married George Rein there on August 19, 1893. They lived in Arbor Vitae, Vilas county, Wis., until 1909 when they moved to Schofield, and, in 1909, moved onto a farm in the town of Hull. Mrs. Rein was a long-time member of the Cherokee Women’s Association until her illness. She was well-known for her active interest in all community affairs at Cherokee and for her pleasing disposition which made many friends for her.

Surviving are one son, Alfred Rein of the town of Hull; three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Lucille) Schultz of Iron Mountain, Mich., Mrs. Clyde (Myrtle) Bird of Deerborn, Mich., and Mrs. Margaret Olson of Wausau; one sister, Mrs. Rose King of Aloha, Ore.; five grand children and nine great grand children.

Mr. Rein preceded her in death in April 5, 1943.

Out of town people here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bird of Dearborn, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Roberts and children, Becky and Blake, of Iron Mountain, Mich., Mrs. Margaret Olson of Wausau, Miss Gina Sue Olson of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. James Bendrick of DeForest, Wis., Mrs. Art Whitting and Mrs. Fred Yonker of Wausau.
