Lindberg, John (20 June 1886 - 19 Feb. 1960)
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the First Presbyterian church in Abbotsford for John Lindberg of Abbotsford who died Friday night of complications at his home. Rev. Lawrence Faivre officiated and burial was made in the Abbotsford cemetery. Pall bearers were Gayhart Anderson, Robert Mueller, John Mueller, Alex Peterson, Harry Emling and Kenneth Kohl.
Mr. Lindberg was born in the town of Hull on June 20, 1886, and attended Abbotsford schools. He was employed by the Abbotsford Hardware Store many years and resided in Abbotsford the past 40 years. He married Esther Stewart on May 1, 1923, in Abbotsford, Wis.
Surviving are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Walter (Doris) Wolfe of Aniwa, Mrs. Bruce (Sandra) Fandel of Round Lake, Ill., Mrs. Darrel (Ruby) Sossaman and Mrs. Eugene (Phyllis) Leu of Abbotsford, Lenore Lindberg, at home; four sons, John D., Jr., of Abbotsford, Wayne and Darrol, at home, and Robert with the U.S. Navy in New York; 18 grand children; two brothers, Otto of Abbotsford and Carol of Linwood, Calif. A daughter, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.
