Richard Huntley’s Camp (1878)
Richard Huntley's camp was burned last Friday forenoon, the fire breaking out while the cook was a distance of about 80 rods chopping wood. It is supposed that during his absence some sneak thief slipped in, stole what he could carry conveniently, and set fire to the shanty to cover his theft. Mr. Huntley's loss will be about $300, and that of the men forking for him about $100.
