Seelow, Russell R. (25 April 1928 - 16 January 2009) With Flag

Russell R. Seelow, 80, of Neillsville died Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at Golden Living Care - Three Oaks Care Center in Marshfield.

Russell was born April 25, 1928, in the Town of York to William and Sarah (Peder) Seelow. He was educated at Neillsville schools.

Russell served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was very patriotic and proud of his military service.

Russell married Donna Landgraf July 7, 1956. He was a family man and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Globe.

Russell was employed as a bus driver, milk hauler and truck driver. He later worked for the Neillsville Foundry, Redville Dairy in the cheese department and then operated a computer at Lynn Dairy in the lactose plant.

Russell is survived by his wife, Donna Seelow of Neillsville; three children, Delilah Seelow, Neillsville, Michael (Cheryl) Seelow, Zion, IL, and David (Barbara) Seelow, Neillsville; four grandchildren, Ryan (Nicole) Zimmerman, Melissa (Damien) Selig, Wade Multerer and Blade Multerer; two great-grandchildren, Marek Zimmerman and Laura Selig; brothers, Frederick (Ardis) Seelow, Neillsville, and William (Karen) Seelow, Jr., Tucson, AZ; sisters, Lilah (Ken) Burr, Marshfield, June (Leon) Schnabel, Neillsville, Berdella (Herman) Carl, Neillsville, Cleone Zink, Neillsville, Janet (Richard) Harrington, Neillsville, and Beverly (Terry) Snyder, Gainesville, GA.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lilah; one brother, Kenneth; and one sister, Donna.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at Buchanan Funeral Home, Neillsville, with Rev. John Warmuth officiating. Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery with Haugen-Richmond Post #73 American Legion of Neillsville conducting military rites.

Pallbearers were Richard, Gene and DuWayne Seelow, Ken Krin, Roger Carl and Michael Smock.

Buchanan Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
