Klanchar, John (1905 - 25 SEP 1925)
John Klanchar, the nineteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Klanchar of
near Willard (Clark Co., Wis.), was accidentally killed at Chicago Friday. John
had gone to Chicago about a month ago to work in a factory. He was on an
elevator at the factory and was learning over the elevator gate as it was going
up. His head was caught between the gate and upper floor and he was instantly
killed.
His body was brought home Saturday. Funeral services were held
Monday morning in Holy Family Church, where solemn services were conducted for
the deceased. The different societies participated at the funeral, which was one
of the largest Willard ever witnessed. The body was laid to rest in the Catholic
cemetery at Willard.
Deceased is survived by his parents, several
brothers and sisters at home and one married sister in Chicago. He also leaves
many other relatives and a host of friends.
The bereaved parents and
relatives have the sympathy of their many friends in this, their hour of sorrow.
