Hutt, John A. (29 June 1878 - 16 Mar. 1960)

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the First Presbyterian church in Abbotsford for John A. Hutt of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, age 81, who died last week Wednesday of a heart condition at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital. Rev. Lawrence Faivre officiated and internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

Mr. Hutt was born in Morrisburg, Ontario, Canada, on June 29, 1878, thus reaching the age of 81 years. On August 22, 1906, he married the former Cloa Dorthea Conaway at Neillsville. He operated a hotel at Chili until 1914 when he became a manager of the Ferndale Rod and Gun Club on Chain Lake near New Auburn. He and Mrs. Hutt moved to Abbotsford in 1917 where he operated a coffee shop, restaurant, hotel and bus depot until 1945 when he retired. He served as a village trustee and was a village president at one time.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Maurice Hutt of Abbotsford; a daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Florence) Laabs of Abbotsford; four grand children; two great grand children. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Harry Hutt, and a sister, Mrs. Agnes Tuchschere.
