Violet McCarty spent
the weekend at Stevens Point with her sister Charlotte, who is attending Normal
there.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Benson and Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Flaaten of Owen
visited at the M. Hermansen home at Curtiss on Sunday.
Quite a number of
mothers attended the program at the schoolhouse Friday. A parent-teacher meeting
was organized.
Mr. and Mrs. John Spaulding and daughter of Melrose
visited with the latter's sister, Mrs. C.W. Sorenson and family over the
weekend. Mrs. C.W. Sorenson returned home with them Sunday for a visit with
relatives and friends at Melrose and Black River Falls.
The Birthday Club
met Saturday with Mrs. John Bowen.
Mrs. George Lause of Minneapolis,
sister of John McCarty, and her son of the Philippine Islands came Sunday for a
visit at the John McCarty home. Dr. McCarty, a nephew of John McCarty, brought
them down.
Mr. and Mrs. O.A. Anderson of Stevens Point visited with
relatives and friends here Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Jorenby and children
are visiting at the Henry Jorenby home at Greenwood.
E.A. Laabs sold his
farm this week to Mr. Ivy from Blair, Wis.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Aberg and
daughter are visiting relatives and friends at Viroqua and Ferryville, Wis.
