Smart, Janice M. (Marriage - (9 January 1971)
Miss
Janice M. Smart became the bride of Terry L. Ludwig Saturday, January 9 at 1
p.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby. Father Rushman officiated at the
double-ring ceremony. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Lee A. Smart of Rt.
1 Dorchester. Mr. and Mrs. William Ludwig of Dorchester are the groom’s parents.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white satin
and Chantilly lace. Her waist-length veil was held by a crystal crown. She
carried a cascade bouquet of red roses and white carnations, accented with
lilies of the valley and rose bud streamers.
Mrs. Calvin Smart of
Milwaukee was matron of honor. Bridesmaid was Mrs. Loren Ludwig of West Bend.
Both were attired in gowns of light blue nylon over acetate styled with empire
waistlines. They wore floral headpieces with short, attached veils and carried
cascade bouquets of pink, yellow and blue asters accented with lilies of the
valley.
Loren Ludwig of West Bend served a bestman. Groomsman was Calvin
Smart of Milwaukee. Ushers were Larry Smart of Stevens Point and Lanny Ludwig of
Dorchester.
A reception for 150 guests was held at the Dorchester
Memorial Hall.
The new Mrs. Ludwig is a 1970 graduate of Colby High
School. Her husband, a 1969 Colby High School graduate is employed in West Bend.
Following a wedding trip to Florida, the couple will live at Newburg, Wisconsin.
