Mr. VanHorn
and Miss Violet Merrill drove up from Hixton Sunday. Mr. VanHorn returned home
Sunday afternoon and Miss Merrill will visit at the Stabnow home.
Mrs.
Aug. Stabnow returned from the Eau Claire Hospital Monday. While there Mrs.
Stabnow had a toxic goiter removed and has returned to feeling much better.
Rev. Arnold Borchardt of Edgar spent Sunday here and Monday morning left for
St. Paul, where he will attend the conference and business meeting of the
Christian and Missionary Alliance.
There will be a County Sunday School
Convention at Greenwood M.E. Church Dec. 1. Everyone interested in Sunday school
work is welcome.
Mr. and Mrs. E.V. Sinclair called at Stabnow's Monday.
They were planning to take Dorothea to Eau Claire for treatment. We sincerely
hope for her speedy recovery.
Mrs. Berrett and Iona called at the Walter
Acker home Sunday.
Mrs. W. Acker spent Monday with her sister Mrs. Vater
near Withee.
Mrs. R. Walter called at Stabnow's Friday.
Mr. R.
Walter left Thursday for the woods where he will cook for the O & N. Lumber camp
for the winter.
The sad news reached here this week from Chicago of the
death of Mrs. Gust Danielson. We extend heartfelt sympathy.
Mrs. Charles
Powers of Chicago spent a few days at her old home and at Stabnow's last week.
She was formerly Miss Ann Amundsen. She returned to Chicago Friday night.
Mr. and Mrs. D.M. Morris, Lillian and Reynold visited at the Stabnow's
Sunday.
