Local News

The light rain fall of Sunday last, nearly bared our roads, Snow is now a scarce article.

The County Board let the printing of their proceedings, to the Phonograph, at their last meeting.

The debate on Saturday night proved to be a success, and what Colby wants now, is more of such entertainments.

For the past two weeks, the weather has been very warm and spring-like, but no very acceptable to our loggers.

Our special reporter took in the Good Templer’s anniversary and the debate. See what he says about them.

It is told us that Jim Taylor, fell timber enough one day last week, to scale 24,000 feet of lumber. Who’s another?

August Luffoff and Emory Brewster will represent the Town of Colby as Jurors at the term of the Circuit Court to be held in Neillsville, commencing on the 3rd of March next.

The printers are indebted to Mr. John Mathig for a nice string of sausage.
