Scherf, William (1862? - 6 Jan. 1940)

William Scherf, 78, a former resident of Abbotsford, Wisconsin died at his home in Colby Saturday morning.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church at Antioch, Ill., Tuesday. Internment followed at the Liberty Corners cemetery near Antioch.

Mr. Scherf was engaged in real estate and tailoring. He left Abbotsford and made his home in Colby since 1926.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mittie Scherf, Colby; his daughter, Mrs. W. (Pauline) Menewisch, Birmingham, Mich.; a brother, Ernst Scherf of Withee; two grandchildren; four nephews, Fred, Sabin and Floyd Scherf, Withee and Byrne Neville, Milwaukee; and two nieces, Mrs. Natalia Scherf and Mrs. Oscar Parkinson of Owen.
