Franz, Phyllis Amanda (Marriage - 16 January 1971)

Miss Phyllis Amanda Franz became the bride of Craig Allen Graves Saturday evening in a double-ring ceremony performed at the United Methodist Church by the Rev. Melvin Nickel. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Leondo Franz of Gilman. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Graves of Neillsville.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white crepe trimmed with lace and accented by a three-quarter length veil. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and lavender ‘mums surrounding an orchid.

Mrs. Kathy Hauge, matron of honor, was attired in an avocado green crepe gown with Velvet trim. Miss Laura Sloniker of Marshfield, the bridesmaid, wore a velvet-trimmed, lavender crepe gown. Both attendants carried bouquets of lavender ‘mums with white carnations.

Terry Hauge was bestman. Groomsman was Jerome Franz of Gilman. Steve Graves and Steve Mabie were ushers.

Following the wedding, a reception for approximately 200 guests was held at the Neillsville American Legion Hall.

The bride, a graduate of Gilman High School, has been employed in Thorp. Her husband a Neillsville High School graduate (balance of sentence is missing).
