Bradford, Emily (7 February 1862 - 31 August 1950)

Mrs. Emily Bradford, 88, died at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Alex Gall, on Thursday at 6 o’clock.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday at two o’clock at the Georgas Funeral Home. Interment was made in the city cemetery.

Mrs. Bradford, nee Owens, was born in Maine on February 7, 1862. In 1879 she was married to Charles Carleton. Four children were born to this union, three of whom are deceased. They are Mrs. Ethel Barr, Arilia Carleton, and T. V. Carleton. One son surviving is Free Carleton of Owen.

In 1914 she was married to C. M. Bradford. He died in 1919.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Neillsville.

Surviving besides her son Free Carleton is one stepson, William Bradford of Neillsville, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. A. L. Windovfer, Dallas, Ore., and William Owens, Neillsville, six grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three children and six brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers were members of the Masonic lodge: James Musil, A. L. Devos, David Parry, Al Covell, Art Haugen and Harry Wasserberger.

Floral offerings were in charge of Mrs. Lawrence Helwig, Mrs. William Terman, Mrs. Irvin Thoma, Mrs. Eugene Christie and Mrs. Donald Gall.

Mrs. Helen Smith sang two selections, accompanied by Mrs. Jess Scott.
