Cieslek, John (21 OCT 1901 – 27 DEC 1964)

John Cieslek, 63, Withee, died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at his home.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home in Owen. The Rev. Robert Goessling officiated and brual was in the Riverside Cemetery at Eithee.

John Cieslek was born October 21, 1901 in Clark County, and had farmed in this area his entire life. His marriage to Martha Kujala took place in 1929, at Chicago.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert Cieslek, Stratford and Phillip Cieslek, Owen; three daughters, Mrs. Randall (Irene) Ryel, Withee; Mrs. Edwin (Dorothy) Zawadski, Greenwood; and Susan Cieslak, at home; three brothers, Frank, Withee; Michael, Chicago; and Henry, Thorp; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sons and three sisters.
