Colby - June 9, 1960

Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Gustafson moved from Owen to Colby, Wis.

Mrs. Louis Justman visited the past week with relatives in La Crosse.

Miss Arva Sturner spent several days with her brother, O. W. Sturner.

Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Strathman and family are spending a week fishing in Canada.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. James Oehmichen of Colby, Route 2, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital June 2.

Francis Paige and daughter, Susan, of Rockford, Ill., were week-end guests of their aunt, Miss Harriet Johnson.

Janet Viergutz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Viergutz, is at St. Mary’s Hospital, Wausau, where she underwent orthopedic surgery.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Zielinski spent several days in Roger’s City, Mich., where they attended the ordaining of their nephew into the priesthood.

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Beyerl and sons autoed Jeanne Beyerl to Driftwood Lodge at Minocqua Saturday where she will be employed for the summer.

Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Baumgartner and children visited at the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Nelsen in DeKalb, Ill.

August Spann, who had been convalescing in Marshfield at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Flink, returned to his home in Colby, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dassau, Jr., of Medford are the parents of a daughter born on May 31. Mrs. Dassau is the former Janice Winkel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Winkel.

Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Orth, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Orth, Jr., and two sons attended the wedding Saturday at Fond du Lac of David Frook, son of Mrs. Alice Frook, the former Alice Orth.

Mr. and Mrs. Tony Grashek and children and David Feind of Milwaukee spent the week-end at the home of Mrs. Ernest Feind and also visited their father who is a patient at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital following a stroke.
