Kauffman, Leone Frances (Marriage - 2 September 1950)
Leone Frances Kauffman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry F. Kauffman of Neillsville, and Ralph Henry Didier, Jr., son of Rev. and Mrs. Ralph Didier of Lansing, Mich., were married in Lansing, September 2, 1950, the father performing the ceremony.
The young couple left immediately for Niagara Falls and Ottawa, Canada.
Leone took time to call her relatives, informing that of the event and stating they would come to Neillsville. They arrived safely through the Labor Day traffic, Thursday, 9:30 p.m.
On Saturday night a reception and shower were given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Kauffman, in the Town of Fremont. The house was decorated with wedding bells and fall flowers.
Old friends from the neighborhood and a few from Neillsville gathered to congratulate the newlyweds. A wedding cake was served with a luncheon. Many useful and pretty gifts were received.
The couple will live in Lansing, where Mr. Didier will enter school as a senior in Michigan State College, and Mrs. Didier will continue her work in an office. Mr. Didier is assistant pastor of Presbyterian Church at Lansing.
