Bertrand, Lucille (Marriage - 16 September 1950)
Lucille Bertrand, daughter of Mr. Archie Elmore of Merrillan became the bride of John Apfel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Legare Apfel at a ceremony performed in the Methodist parsonage on Saturday at four o’clock.
Rev. Virgil Nulton performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride was attired in a two piece street length dress of Barkley blue satin with white accessories. She wore a single strand of pearls and a corsage of roses and white carnations.
Alice Anger of Eau Claire a sister of the bride served as matron of honor. She wore a two piece street length dress of navy blue with white accessories. She wore a corsage of pink carnations and baby mums.
The groom was attended by Kenneth Anger of Eau Claire.
Immediately following the wedding a reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents for the immediate relatives.
After a honeymoon in Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota the couple will be at home at 128½ W. Fifth St.
The bride was graduated from the Merrillan High School. The groom finished Neillsville High School and is employed by the Clark County Highway Department.
