Scheeler, Herman G. (1 July 1877 - 1950)
H. G. Scheeler, 73, a pioneer settler of Abbotsford, has been interred in the cemetery there. Funeral services were held on Saturday from Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford, Wis. He died at his home following a lingering illness.
Mr. Scheeler was born in Byron July 1, 1877. He received his education in the rural schools there before moving to Abbotsford, Wis. He was married at Abbotsford to Mary Kelpin on November 24, 1877 (date in error). They lived at Abbotsford for five years and then moved to Granton, where they resided on a farm for 31 years. Ten years ago they moved back to Abbotsford, Wis.
The widow, a son, and three daughters survive. The children are: Carl of Cazenovia, Mrs. Hans Amacher of Abbotsford, Mrs. William Grottke of Sauk City, and Mrs. William Marg of Schofield. In addition there are 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
