Schoelzel, Sandra (Marriage - 23 July 1960)

Miss Sandra Schoelzel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Schoelzel of Colby, (Wis.) Route 2, and George Hudak, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. George Hudak, Sr., of Marshfield, were married in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, Saturday, Rev. James Stauber officiating at the nuptial high mass. Mrs. Alois Gabriel was organist.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a dress of Chantilly lace styled by a skirt front of pleated tulle with alternating lace and tulle ruffles; a bodice with a scalloped Sabrina neckline highlighted by sequins, and a chapel train. Her crown of pearls and sequins was held by a finger-tip length veil and she carried a bouquet of red roses and stephanotis.

Mrs. Ray Phillips of Blooming Prairie, Minn., was her sister’s matron of honor and bridesmaids were Mrs. Walter Hudak of Wisconsin Rapids and Mrs. Wayne Seefeld of Marshfield.

They wore gowns of blue nylon net over taffeta and blue crowns. They carried bouquets of tiger lilies and white carnations.

Ray Phillips was best man and the groomsmen were Walter Hudak and Wayne Seefeld. Ray Weis and Arnold Dietel ushered.

Following the service a dinner for the bridal party and parents was served at the Colby Hotel, a reception and supper was served at the Colby Tavern at Unity, and an evening dance was held at the Kolby park.

The bride is a graduate of the Colby High School and has been employed by the Badger Basket Co. in Edgar. Mr. Hudak attended Marathon County schools and is employed by *** Note: The remainder of this article was missing.
