Anderson, Judith (30 Apr. 1958 - 1 Feb. 2009)

Judith Anderson, 50, of Colby, Wisconsin died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at the Colonial Center in Colby, Wis.

Arrangements are pending and Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home Abbotsford is assisting the family.

Abbotsford, Wis. -- Judith Marie Anderson, 50, of Abbotsford, passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at the Colonial Center in Colby under the tender care of the Ministry Home Care Hospice of Marshfield.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford, Wis. The Rev. Robert Everhard will officiate.

Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home in Abbotsford from 11 a.m. until time of service. Private committal services will be held at a later date in Abbotsford Public Cemetery.

Judith was born April 30, 1958, in Belvidere, Ill., to Hiram and Janice (Swanland) Anderson. She attended elementary school in Caledonia, Ill., and later attended Belvidere High School. She married Floyd "Butch" Mapes on April 12, 1975, in Caledonia, Ill. During her marriage, she worked as a homemaker and farmed with her husband. They later divorced.

She then became employed as a pharmacy technician at the K-Mart Department Store in Medford and later worked at Wausau Aspirus Hospital in the same field. Judith then took a position as a lab technician for Land-O-Lakes factory in Spencer and continued to work there up until the time of her illness.

Judith was a former member of the Caledonia United Church of Christ located in Caledonia, Ill.

Judith loved shopping for anything and everything, trying her luck at the casino and playing cards. Those who knew Judith knew her to be fun loving and dedicated to family and friends. Judith was committed to taking care of her family and making them happy no matter what it took to do so.

Judith is lovingly survived by her mother Janice Anderson of Belvidere, Ill.; her children, Stacy (Sparky) Leichtman of Dorchester, and Katrina (her special friend Randy Dohrwardt) of Medford. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Garret and Felicia, and her stepgrandchildren, Brett and Wyatt Dohrwardt; her sister, Linda Brinkmeyer of Belvidere Ill.; and her brother, Richard (Sheri) Anderson of Rockford, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hiram Anderson; and her brother, Jimmy.
