Mazurek, Mary (5 JAN 1868 - 2 FEB 1950)
Mrs. Mary Mazurek passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frances Zaborowski at Gilman, Wis., on Thursday, Feb. 2, 1950 at the age of 82 years and 28 days, from a heart ailment.
The deceased was born in Poland on Jan. 5th, 1868. She came to America on April 24th, 1897.
Residing in Chicago up to the time of her marriage to Stanley Mazurek, Sr., in 1907. In 1919 the family moved from the farm to the village (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.) which was her residence until two months ago.
Daughter Anna preceded her in death in 1921, son Walter in 1932 and son Dr. Joseph in 1942, and her husband in 1945.
She is survived by her daughter, Frances Zaborowski of Gilman, Margaret Lukaszewski, sons Stanley and John of Chicago, 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Holy Rosary Society.
Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6th, 1950, with a solemn requiem mass celebrated by Rev. Francis Piekarski.
Interment was made in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, John Zaborowski, Ray Zaborowski, Leo Zaborowski, Jos. Zaborowski, Edward Lukaszewski and Jim Mazurek.
